Janice Marie Bibby, 80, passed away August 23, 2024 in Powell, Ohio. She was born October 9, 1943 to Rolf and Johanna Olson in Rugby, North Dakota. Jan married Robert Bibby on November 23, 1966 in Rock Island, Illinois.
Jan grew up on a farm in Pleasant Lake, North Dakota and graduated from the University of North Dakota. In her early career she worked at the Rock Island Arsenal in Illinois and later worked in computer operations at the Marine Corps Exchange in Quantico, Virginia.
In retirement, Jan was a passionate volunteer at cat shelters in Illinois and Ohio, along with the Common Ground Free Store in Delaware, Ohio. She enjoyed reading, walks, Bible study, prayer groups, dining out and shopping.
She was a member of Valleyview Evangelical Friends church in Delaware, Ohio for several years before joining the church community at StoryPoint Powell.
Jan is survived by her daughter, Susannah (James) Hannis, Powell, Ohio; grandchildren, Nathan and Aaron; sisters, Carolyn Wright, Burleso
