BRANDON LEE DAVID COLE, 38, of Columbus, OH, died of stage 3 Melanoma on June 29th, 2024.
He was born in Robbinsdale, MN in 1986 to (mother) Jackie Rudenick and (father) Bret Cole and grew up blind from birth. Brandon attended many public schools before finally going to the Minnesota school for the Blind in Faribault, MN and graduating. He was very smart, funny, and caring. He was an amazing brother, son and fiancé. Brandon had many achievements throughout his life including Prom King, high academic awards, track and field, moving onto future awards for working with companies to make videos games more accessible to the blind. He was a major advocate for the blind in his adult life and became very well known to many, many people. So well known, that he became someone's make-a-wish 28 years after being the 1000th person to make a wish himself.
Brandon was preceded in death by (brother) Blake Cole, (stepdad) Michael Rudenick, (uncles) Jon Riley and Eric Riley, (grandfather) Big John, and
