John DAVID Huddle, age 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at St. Ann's Hospital July 2, 2024.
Dave was born in Ft. Worth, Texas to John and Ruth Huddle. After graduation from Polytechnic Highschool, he completed a Bachelor's degree in chemistry at Abilene Christian College and a Master's degree in Chemistry from University of North Texas. After completing his Master's degree, he was offered a position at CAS in Columbus as a Scientific Information Analyst. He was known as an expert in organic stereochemistry and substances derived from natural sources. He retired from CAS after a 47 year career.
Dave is preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruth Huddle; his brother-in-law, John Townsdin and niece, Lisa Townsdin Bowen. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Cynthia; and their three children, Michael (DJ) Huddle, Tim Huddle, and Joanna Sheehan; 3 grandchildren, Adam and Anna Huddle and Conor Sheehan as well as his sister, Elaine Townsdin and nephews, Doug (Danna) Town
